When you add an account, you choose a folder and an account template for it. Everyone with a role on the folder gets access to the account, and the template sets the account type and the rules for its sessions. Then you enter the details Infisical needs to reach the database or server, and the credential it signs in with.

Prerequisites

  • The Admin role on the folder that the account goes in
  • An account template for the account type
  • A gateway that can reach the database or server (AWS IAM accounts don’t need one)

Add the account

1
Go to Privileged Access Management > Accounts and select Add Account.
2
Select the Folder and the Account Template, then select Next. The template sets the account type.
3
Enter a Name and the connection details. If the template doesn’t set a gateway, select a Gateway. The page for each account type describes its fields.
4
Enter the credentials, then select Create.
