# Upgrade the CLI

> Upgrade the Infisical CLI to the latest version with the package manager you installed it with.

Upgrade the CLI with the same package manager you [installed it](/docs/cli/install) with:

  brew update && brew upgrade infisical
  ```

  ```bash Windows (winget) theme={"dark"}
  winget upgrade infisical
  ```

  ```bash Windows (Scoop) theme={"dark"}
  scoop update infisical
  ```

  ```bash npm theme={"dark"}
  npm update -g @infisical/cli
  ```

  ```bash Debian/Ubuntu theme={"dark"}
  sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install --only-upgrade -y infisical
  ```

  ```bash RedHat/CentOS/Amazon Linux theme={"dark"}
  sudo yum update infisical
  ```

  ```bash Alpine theme={"dark"}
  sudo apk update && sudo apk upgrade infisical
  ```

  ```bash Arch Linux theme={"dark"}
  yay -S infisical-bin
  ```

Check which version you have now:

```bash theme={"dark"}
infisical --version
```

  If an upgrade on Linux fails because the package repository can't be reached, your machine may still point at the old Cloudsmith repository. See [Migrate off Cloudsmith](/docs/cli/cloudsmith-migration).
